About the Author

I was born Carleen Finchum Aug. 21 1934 in Dismal Lake in Miss. County. I married L. B Goodman when I was seventeen. We moved around a lot, we lived in Michigan, Chicago, and Van Nuys, California. We had six children, five girls and one boy. After we moved back to Lepanto a few months we moved to Memphis. My last daughter was born there. I later moved to Horn Lake, got a divorce when my baby was two years old. I worked for a Bar BQ place then got a job at K Mart in Southaven, Mississippi. I worked in the cafeteria, later made manager. I worked there for eighteen and one half years. I then got a job at Flash Market part time. I worked there part time for ten years. I retired in 2004 and I met Ray Seyller from Little Rock Ark. We got married April 10, 2005. I moved to Little Rock where I now live. I like to do crafts, sew and I have always liked to read. I read all kinds of books. I also helped my daughter with her three girls, she now lives in Texas. I have a pet turtle, and I collect turtles. My six sisters and I go some where on a sister week once a year, one time we went on a cruise to Mexico. I am in good health and feel very blessed.
