About the Author

About the author: Marci Yenerich was born in the small town of Mendota, Illinois in 1948, and she graduated from the University of Illinois in 1970. She married in 1970 and lived in the Chicago area before she moved to California in 1978. Marci achieved her Paralegal Certificate in 1981, and she followed a career litigation paralegal and recruiter in Los Angeles and in the San Francisco Bay Area. While married, she bought and sold nine old houses, fixing them and flipping them shortly thereafter. It became her second career. In 1996, she divorced and moved from Los Angeles to Sausalito, to follow her dream of living in Northern California and owning a boat. This book is her summary of the high moments she enjoyed while she learned her way around Sausalito, made some wonderful friends, bought a trawler, learned to navigate and manage the boat, and to involve herself in her local yacht club. This work is an inspirational tale of a single woman, who went out to pursue her dream, while learning to overcome fear, stay on a personal growth path, and to become an intrepid adventurer. This book is a collection of Marci’s adventures during the very special time of owning a boat. It was also written as a tribute to her Mother, Nonnie, and also to her wonderful friends in Sausalito.
