About the Author

Irene’s whole life is quite a story in itself. Little did she know that as an Air force child, who changed addresses — towns and countries — every three years, that it would be the perfect grounding for what was to come. Born in Japan on an Air force base, surrounded by cherry blossom trees was just the beginning. Raised in England with memories of gentle breezes, daffodils and afternoon teas, to the warm white sands of Florida USA, she collected memories, as people collect sand dollars. She spent some time in the Blue Ridge Mountain’s of Tennessee - finally coming home to her father’s state of North Carolina. She continued her education through the years, covering psychology, sociology, as well as an Associate Degree in business. However, her real education, she says are all the varied and interesting life experiences. Now she has settled in the town of Forest City NC, a town rich in history. It is her desire to open a child’s mind to their surroundings and natural habitat and help them develop their imagination. To show them the importance of the past- the present and the future with all the possibilities their minds can imagine.
