About the Book

Meet Erin. A gentle, kind parakeet, who learns a valuable lesson about the true meaning of friendship. Follow her through her first days of school as she overcomes her shyness, and gains the confidence to make new friends. A story that any child beginning school for the first time, or attending a new school will enjoy.

About the Author

Writer and artist Fran Post is a former nursery school teacher. After 12 years of working with pre-school aged children she started her own business combining her love of teaching with her love of art. She is now the owner of Pixie Art Productions. A company that offers fine art instruction for both children and adults, commission artwork, and unique gift ideas. Another dream for Fran was of course to write for children, so that their love of books could begin at an early age as hers did. Her stories usually center around animals as she has many of her own, including 1 dog, 1 cat, a cockatiel, a chinchilla, and a horse. She hopes that her books will not only teach a lesson, but will be enjoyed for generations to come.
