About the Book

While marveling at Sunny´s vibrant illustrations,young readers can relate to the excitement of growing up alongside Sunny as she emerges from a tiny seed into a radiant six foot sunflower. Then, planting their very own sunflower seeds (that Sunny will send by mail)continues the story into a fun learning experience!

About the Author

Kevin Thibodeau grew up on his family’s small farm in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. He has always enjoyed growing his own meat and vegetables. Today, he still lives in Rhode Island with his family and plants a large vegetable garden each Spring, passing along his knowledge to his own kids. His name is well know in his community for serving on the local school committee, or the “First-Night” committee, being a 4-H leader or member of The Small Farmers of Rhode Island. He wanted to write this book because it is important for all young people to be connected with the world they live in, not just watch it on the TV.
