About the Book
Butterfly is so beautiful. Mr. Rabbit is so friendly. Moth is a bit plain and quiet. He feels very sad because he thinks he is not as good as Butterfly or Mr. Rabbit. Miss Snail comes along and explains to Moth why he is so special. Read God’s Special Moth to see whether Moth ever believes Miss Snail or continues to doubt himself. This picture book reminds the child in each of us to be happy and confident because nobody else is quite like you or me.
About the Author
Cary Knier Johannes, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist and first-time author. She is also a trained lay leader in her church. She has worked with many children from various backgrounds. Despite the diversity in these children’s lives, she has found a common thread--low self-esteem. After the birth of her daughter, she felt inspired to write a meaningful story that teaches children about their inherent worth. She hopes the children who read this book will learn to love themselves so they can achieve their full potential. She is currently the Director of Counseling Services at Lakeland College. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, their daughter, Addison, and their dog Benny.
