About the Author
Johannes H. Egbers was born in the Netherlands in 1931. After completing his engineering studies, he served four years as an officer in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. During his professional career, he was employed five years with the Royal Dutch/ Shell Group and twenty-seven years with the Du Pont Company about equal times in the United States and Europe. After he retired as a managing director of two European subsidiaries, he was ten years on the faculty of Lehigh University as a professor of engineering management while also active as a management consultant for world-class companies. King Baudouin of Belgium knighted him for promoting transatlantic understanding.
