About the Book

Robin Miller, the artist, adopted a small bear who happily become part of his family. He named the bear Scott Robin, combining his son’s name and his own to make the bear even more a part of his family. When the small bear discovered Miller’s art studio, he couldn’t stay away! He soon found that he loved anything connected with art. He begged the artist Miller to teach him every thing about painting that he could. The artist, even with his very busy schedule, found time to work with the little bear. He taught the bear all he needed to know in order to become an artist. Scott Robin loved art! He spent all of his spare time in the studio, but didn’t have the confidence to start a painting. This book tells the story of how he finally found the confidence to become “The Painter’s Bear.”

About the Author

I began my life as a circus brat. My grandparents were aerial artists, so I spent the first five years of my life traveling with the circus. In my teens, I traveled with carnivals all over the western United States. Perhaps because of my early travels, I have spent much of my adult life exploring the world. This gave me a view of the world that was very unique. My art career began as the owner and designer for a stuffed animal business. For nearly twenty years, I created teddy bears and other “critters.” After starting the stuffed animal business I discovered I had a talent for art and I began drawing and painting. Then I began writing. Now I have a number of manuscripts of books I have written and plan to publish. One of the first is this book, The Painter’s Bear. I hope you enjoy this tale of one very special little bear!
