About the Author

Stanley Yokell is the author of two technical books – “A Working Guide to Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers”, McGraw-Hill, New York, 1990 and with his colleague Carl F. Andreone, “Tubular Heat Exchanger Inspection, Maintenance and Repair”, McGraw-Hill, New York, 1997. He has written many technical papers in connection with his work as a consultant on tubular heat transfer equipment. In 1997 his books, “The Ship” and “The Ride” were published. The Ship describes the transition from civilian life to life aboard an LST that fought in the Pacific during WWII. The Ride is about a solo coast-to-coast bicycle trip he took to celebrate his 59th birthday. Dog Stories stems from his lifelong love of animals and dogs in particular.
