About the Author

Adrienne Julia Bendickson is inspired by dogs and has a great respect for nature and all of God’s creatures. She enjoys studying animal behavior, and learns a great deal from her own pets; Annie, a German Shepherd, Gracie a Golden Retriever, and Boots a Ragdoll cat. The story of Saber the Ranch Dog was written by Adrienne as a 9 year old fourth grader. This story incorporates her wonderful imagination with her real life experiences in Bigfork, Montana… specifically her love for the Flathead Lake Lodge. The story is fiction; however, the references to the Lodge and some of the characters at the Lodge are real. Adrienne lives with her family in Wayzata, Minnesota, and attends the Orono schools.
