About the Author
Samuel Eddington holds a B.A. in English (Creative Writing) from the University of Houston, where he was the winner of the Howard Moss Prize in Poetry and the Texas Association of Creative Writing Teachers Poetry Prize (undergraduate division) in 2002. His poetry has subsequently appeared in many literary journals. Mr. Eddington also holds a M.L.S. from Southern Connecticut State University, and was the Director of the Amargosa Valley Library from 2007-2008. Currently, he lives with his wife and two children in central Maryland, where he enjoys playing the guitar and piano and keeping tropical fish. Diamond in the Desert is his first work of nonfiction.
