About the Book

My Tears Are There is a compilation of true stories-each one short, poignant, and with universal appeal for anyone who has lived a 'normal' life in less than normal circumstances. The brevity of each vignette invites the reader to reflect on how the author might have coped, and how broken spirits can be renewed. The book was written as Ellen's legacy for her family-a mural of events that paint a picture of her private past. The dedication is for her granddaughter, Lydia, who is the subject of the title story.
