About the Book

The Adventures of Porky Pine and Maryann is about a pig named Porky Pine and his close friend, a Porcupine named Maryann. Porky Pine has dreams of becoming rich. Even though he goes through a few downfalls, he continues to reach for his goals. Maryann supports Porky Pine all through their journeys of adventures. Porky Pine accomplishes his goals because of his determination to succeed.

About the Author

Sarge's background is in Law Enforcement, Missions work and Dog Training. He is the President of a not- for-profit organization called Friends Of Sheltered Children In Kenya (FOSCIK) www.foscik.org . His missions work takes him to Kenya, Africa yearly to work with orphaned, destitute and abandoned children living in the FOSCIK Center Children's Shelter. His work involves assisting these children by supplying food, lodging, water, funds for education, school and medical supplies. Sarge was inspired to write The Adventures of Porky Pine and Maryann through one of his sponsored daughters, Maryann. Sarge has always been a humorous story teller. Sarge is married to his lovely wife Beverly who is also a published poet; he has two biological children Boswana and Mitsi (deceased), four grandchildren and twelve sponsored children living in Kenya, Africa.
