About the Book

Twisted Words of an Intoxicated Man is a small assortment of short and simple poems collected over the last few years, covering topics of love, heartbreak, and the world around us. After thinking it over for what seems to be forever, I have decided to share my work with you. I hope you have as much enjoyment reading these poems as I have had writing them. I thank you all.

About the Author

I didn’t always enjoy the art of writing. It wasn’t until my senior year in high school that I took an interest in poetry and music lyrics. After I had graduated, I would spend many nights trying to write music while drinking with friends. We would get the guitars out and just start singing about anything and everything. I would write on anything I could find lying around the bar—napkins, coasters, even the back of my pay stubs. I would throw all these lyrics and short poems in a shoe box and put them on a shelf in my closet. After a few years of storing away all my writings, I dusted off the box and started putting them down in a book; I figured that would be a little more organized. In 2009, I finally decided to take a stab at getting my work published. Since then, I’ve written more in the last year than I have in the ten years prior. I think this is one addiction of mine I will never give up.
