About the Author

The author Ralph Giles, Jr., son of Rev. Ralph & Sarah Giles, is a native of Griffin, GA. The author is currently engaged and is the loving father of three. Raised on the Southside of Griffin, where he became a product of his environment, he excelled in his education but also struggled with the epidemics around him. He was introduced to the street life at a very young age, and began to experiment in criminal activities. Growing up in an era where crack cocaine invaded every corner in the city, Ralph became fascinated and was unfortunately attracted to this lifestyle. School became less important and the streets became his “university”. After several attempts to become successful in the drug game, Ralph then resorted to robbery. This however, was to no avail. As time would go on this detrimental lifestyle would land him in prison on several occasions. Struggling to discover his presence in life, the author found himself in a world filled with evil beyond imagination. In a place where time is ultimately your best friend, the author began to express his pain in the unique art form of an urban street novel. Ralph has now discovered a new way of life, and a positive way of thinking using misfortune as a stepping stone for greater achievements. Within this novel the author has given one an array of many emotions, an epic display of power, rage, passion, sorrow, ruthlessness, compassion, and lust. Growth and development has manifested at its highest peak. The author currently resides in Griffin and has been a Master Barber for over twenty years. Ralph is an avid fan of sports, and also an adamant chess player. Reading and traveling are current hobbies, while writing is his biggest passion of all.
