About the Book

This introductory collection has been in the works for many years, at times briskly boiling and at times softly steeping. Mykal has always had a love for writing, and uses the written word to explore life through various lenses. The poetry included in Respective Dreamlands is an exploration of life rooted in love, faith, insight, and most of all, hope.

About the Author

Mykal Knight is an educator, a freelance writer, and a poet. Her passion is encouragement and insight. She welcomes any opportunity to motivate, educate, and illuminate. She fulfills this passion through her written words, teaching in her classroom and instructional workshops, as well as presenting at motivational speaking engagements directed at youth. A participant and speaker at numerous spoken word venues, Mykal has a flavor for turning thoughts into captivating phrases. Her work is both lighthearted and profound. She speaks of life through experiences and lessons learned therein. This emerging author is a proud mother and wife, residing in Michigan.
