About the Book
“Military Mommy” is a charming poem about how one small boy learns how to deal with moving half way across the world with his military mommy. Through the eyes of fi ve year old Noah , “Military Mommy” takes us on a journey from bootcamp separation to sharing his experiences of what it’s like to live on an Army base. Military children may relate to this humurous light-hearted, but touching true story. “I loved when she’d call and sing me a song, then I would keep singing long after she’d gone, I’d hold her picture till we were together, praying, “Dear Lord, please don’t forget her”. Military families often deal with separation issues. Grandma Carol created this story as they walked to school on base to help Noah overcome his fears. The rhyming made Noah laugh, so she wrote this poem in hopes to help bring a smile to other military children and their families.
