About the Book

The behavior of a pet in the backyard reminds us that there is still something there that sings along with the wild coyotes. It also reminds us that we too still carry our old man around after we experience the Lord’s salvation. The issue of how true believers behave after they are saved is important to both us and our Lord. We have this sinful nature which our Lord says needs to be put to death, but how practically do we do this? This book is an attempt to address this issue and to reassure those who think they might have ‘lost’ their salvation. Our savior is continuing to save us day by day…if we are willing to cooperate. We cannot overcome the influence and temptations of this world in our own strength. The secret is to know how to draw on the strength of the One who has already overcome the world.

About the Author

As the son of a gold miner growing up in the Northwest, I was saved in a mining accident at age 19. The next ten years were spent attending college both in the US and in West Germany to obtain an MS in Physics. Following this my occupation in industry involved computer programming and system engineering, all the while witnessing for the Lord and writing about what I had seen and heard. One opportunity the Lord provided during this time was a chance to smuggle Bibles into mainland China. This was during the 70’s and it was a real experience of God’s divine intervention. My motivation to write comes in part from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
