About the Author

A passionate nurse, caring for her patients, Ms. Ray-Thomas soon realized that she was not only teaching her patients about their diagnoses, they were teaching her what it means “to live” even in death. While cleaning she came across a file of old thank-you cards and letters from her patients. Writing down each story, she ended up with more than just a notebook; she ended up with a stirring and poignant account that you will surely love. Eden Ray-Thomas is a graduate from the University of Phoenix, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. A practicing nurse since 1985, she works and instructs new nursing students in a large metropolitan hospital. Ms. Ray-Thomas lives in southern Ohio with her two daughters and a menagerie of animals on their fifteen-acre farm.
