About the Author

Sabrina Ford was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She has sat on and continues her engagement with an endless amount of committees representing Black women and youth. In February 2011 Sabrina was selected to appear in the official Black History Month Calendar and was honoured by the City of Montreal with the titled of Laureate for her engagement in civil society. Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Educational and Counselling Psychology both from McGill University where she developed an educational praxis that marries multiculturalism to education across all subject domains. She has a column in a community based newspaper, has worked as a teacher, summer school principal, for the Federal Government, coordinating educational and employment programs for Black young adults within Montreal.
