About the Author
This photo was actually taken by the author’s dad in 1964 at her Uncle Pershing’s farm. This is a photo of the author as a little girl holding the baby goat (kid) that belongs to the momma goat on the front cover of this book. Having both experience as a librarian and a kindergarten teacher, I have encountered a trio of components when it comes to writing a story for the early childhood level. I previously discussed two of these principals on the back cover of my last book. One was that I wanted to make my books vehicles to knowledge and at the same time entertain children. The third principal involves being able to entertain the adults who read stories aloud to children. I do my best to merge these three components in every story that I write.
