About the Book

My book is entitled, Life is a Story: A Collection of Poetry. It is a book that is filled with poetry that speaks to the inner soul. It has expressive, creative, and yet inspirational poems about my views on love, life, romance, prayer, ethnicity, etc. Many of the poems are personal memories that I decided to uniquely capture in a poetic form on paper. These poems are an artistic expression of who I am. It directly relates to who I have become. It gives the reader something to think about, encouragement, and a look into my life. It opens up a whole new world with creative words. The title, Life is a Story, expresses that life has many stories. This is my story. This book holds all my inner thoughts that I would like to share with my audience, which is the world.

About the Author

My name is Therza P. Cox. I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I am an African American woman who graduated from Robert S. Rogers High School, June 9, 1999.

I have overcome many obstacles in my life, including prejudice, school bullying and mental illness. Having a diagnosis did not hold me back from enjoying my life. In fact, it gave me more awareness about how others may struggle. Regardless of whatever I go through, I have to put God in control.
