About the Book
The journey in life that we all take moves along different paths but there is a familiar tone to each traveller’s experience. No one can claim that life is an uninterrupted journey without frequent stops and starts. The reason for stopping or even slowing down, the length of time we stop vary but the consensus is that something will happen to force us off the course we would rather stay on. Because we are individuals and different, the weight that bears down on us from these incidents differs and none of us can make a judgement call on the other person that a load is too easy or hard to bear. We endure our load alone but with help from God or his agents (friends, family and a good book). The book “My Hope is Built” is an encouraging and pleasant reminder that there is a link between whatever you are going through and God’s purpose for your life.
About the Author
Erol Channer serves an Electronics Warfare officer in the Canadian Navy and is actively involved in preparing ships for conflicts, during missions, in the murky waters of the international seaway (He is currently on sick leave). It is a lonely job in which success cannot be easily measured until a conflict is over. Planning is paramount and intelligence information supreme to decision-making to safeguard the lives of Canadian service men and women. My career choice is a far cry from my personal life where whatever God is trying to do cannot be figured out or even anticipated. Furthermore, success is measured not because I avoided a conflict or because I came out neither battered nor bruised but hopeful and of good cheer. This is my story to show God’s dealing in my life, that is trying to serve Him, in nearly every capacity within His church, while He is busy trying to turn my life around.
