Franklin “Frankie” Kam’s parents were Francis and Thelma Kam, whose parents were Waipahu, Hawaii Immigrant contract sugar plantation workers from Canton China. Chinese Immigrant families that learned to share with each other and work hard in their rural Waipahu Environment.

About the Author

Approaching Age 71, Franklin had written USA, His 20th book of Poetry! He is a 1959 graduate of Saint Louis High School and 1964 B.A. in History graduate of Chaminade University of Honolulu. He is an International Society of Poets "The International Who's Who in Poetry member and was a 2008 "Poet of the Year" nominee. He had a Yahoo! BLOG, ‘Ainahau 59’ started on July 13, 2009. His last Xlibris book: ‘Above The Clouds”, published in 2010. ‘East meets West’, published in 2009.
