About the Book

Matt and Louise always looked forward to their extended annual holiday with their friends, John, Alex and Greg. This year’s trip to their favourite Caribbean island was no exception, especially as they had the company of the irrepressible Jenna. However, during the course of their holiday, Matt and Jenna inadvertently uncover a tale of intrigue and murder, involving a long dead island priestess, magic and a voodoo ceremony that threatens to cost them their lives as they and their friends struggle to discover the truth. The events cause a radical shift in Jenna’s relationship with both Matt and John.

About the Author

London born Charani Batchelor has been writing since childhood, encouraged first of all by her teacher and, later, by her grandmother and poet brother, Ray as well as her husband, Terry. Charani experienced some success in her teens, when she had several short stories published in low circulation magazines. Although writing was her first love, she trained as a secretary and for many years worked in that capacity. One of Charani’s bosses added his encouragement after reading a story she had written some years earlier. The opportunity to take the plunge and get some of her work published internationally came when an old friend recognised the potential in Jenti’s Curse, a murder mystery set in the Caribbean, and decided to sponsor publication through Xlibris. Charani lives with her husband and children in the South of England.
