About the Book

TAP INTO YOUR COACHING POWER You can be a highly effective leader coach by applying seven keys for coaching power. The seven keys are: 1. Stay observant of your staff so you can identify coaching needs. 2. Use effective methods and tools to track performance. 3. Conduct a one-on-one meeting promptly to address poor performance issues. 4. Call attention to poor performance through "targeted," "incident-based" feedback. 5. Explain improvement expectations, and the consequences of continued poor performance. 6. Support individual development actions and, or a formal performance improvement plan. 7. Stay connected by following up on progress and giving additional feedback. Learn how to use the seven keys in this straightforward, practical handbook that focuses on application. This handbook can be used for self-directed/independent study or as a workbook for a facilitated class. It contains over twenty application tools, including checklists, self-assessment instruments, worksheets, performance models, and exercises.
