About the Author

David Lee Archer was born in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1954, riding horses at the age of six. At ten he got his first paid training job. At thirteen David started showing in horse shows and worked with older trainer named Mr. Smithpot. David was president and vice president of a saddle club in Illinois. He has shown successfully in Open Reining, Cross Country Jumping, Team Penning, Stadium and Outdoor Jumping, Barrels and Pole Bending. David has judged horse shows and has done Horsemanship Clinics in Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia, California, and Alabama. He has been on radio, PBS and Cable TV stations. David has been featured in numerous newspaper articles and has written articles for three horse magazines. David resides and trains at FalconRidge Ranch in Valley Center, California.
