About the Book

In his book, Robert Marton brings a unique look at the beach from a humanistic perspective. In watching people enjoying a day at the beach, he observed a wide range of behaviors ranging from the bizarre to the poignant. He manages to blend his observations with a lesson in life, quietly reminding us that like the beach, we can learn about renewal and coming back from the storms in our lives better than before.

This book will make you laugh, and it will make you contemplate; but most of all, it will make you ponder if he’s writing about you!

About the Author

Robert S. Marton was raised in New York City where he visited many beaches with his family. Eventually, Robert moved to South Florida where he served as the hurricane evacuation coordinator for eight years. Currently, he spends a great deal of time applying his knowledge of the coastal dynamics of barrier islands to help people understand the impact of hurricanes on buildings in the beach environment.
