In his debut opera, Allan M. Collautt delivers a stirring tale of ancient Troy, where the gods set in motion a plan that manipulates humankind. Zeus enlists support of his fellow deities to engage the Trojans and Greeks in a long and bloody fight with no winner. Combining lyrical poetry and finely drawn characters against a backdrop of action, the opera is propelled by conflict on many levels. Throughout this work, Dr. Collautt explores themes relevant in today’s world including the foibles of leaders who assume to know what’s best for all, the price of politically motivated advice, the squandering of human resources, the consequences of poorly made decisions and the role of history in recording the “truth.” A modern day Renaissance man, Dr. Collautt combines a love of language and poetry with an entrepreneurial spirit and a technical background. As founder of Allan Collautt Associates, Inc., Dr. Collautt has more than 25 years of experience in working with many-layered bureaucracies as he assists clients with the implementation of social services through public welfare programs. He is the author of many books and articles including his recent publication Community Well-Being and Public Welfare.
