About the Book

People have always had many questions about the topic of suffering.

Christians and non-Christians alike have often wondered why suffering exists. Where does it come from? Is it God’s will? Does it have a purpose? Is it punishment? Why do innocent people suffer? Is there a reason why some people suffer more than others?

Generally, the answers to these questions are much simpler than you might think, but often we tend to misunderstand and complicate them. So, in light of that problem, this book looks at what the bible reveals about suffering, and with the bible’s help, intends to reconcile these issues, offering the reader an excellent study of this subject.

This is the first of a two book series on the subject of suffering by the author. It is foundational and intended to disclose and clarify biblical truth about suffering and to build faith in God’s stand against it. The second, entitled,“SUFFERING, UNANSWERED PRAYER, (AND HOW TO FIX THE WHOLE THING)” is more practical, explaining how to apply biblical principles of prayer to “any” situation you might have, and get the prayer results promised by the bible. This second book may be available as you read this or will be soon.

“SUFFERING (GOD’S WILL?)” is written in a simple and uncomplicated way, yet because it is intended to reach as broad a segment of readers as possible, covers at times certain less familiar, (yet relevant) passages of scripture in order to address the concerns of long time students of the bible.

That being said, this book can be a good source of study for all interested in finding answers to questions about suffering. And because of the number of bible references given in support of things that are said, can also be an in-depth biblical study for those so inclined.

About the Author

AUTHOR’S BIOGRAPHY For over 30 years, John has fought two illnesses, both medically documented as permanent. Applying biblical principles of prayer, he has gained full recovery from one and is nearing full recovery from the other. His desire is to teach others to have similar prayer results, and in this his first book, lays down the necessary foundation. Living in Northern New York, John is a graduate of LeMoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. And being unable to establish a consistent working career because of his “health” fight, has worked mostly part-time as a financial analyst, substitute schoolteacher, tour agent, and office clerk.
