About the Author

I am Alan Thompson from Falkville, a small town in North Alabama. It was only after the death of my father that I realized I had some talent for writing poetry. I truly believe that this was God’s way to help me through this traumatic event in my life. I also believe that if I didn’t have poetry as my getaway I would probably have done something stupid to myself. Because of this, I want to give God all of the credit for this book. Without Him telling me exactly what to write, none of these poems would have been written.
