About the Book

I her book, the writer takes you back to events you may have forgotten, but which play an important part in how well you succeed in life. These events also often play a significant part in how we make decisions and live our daily life. She recounts the tragic backgrounds many prisoners shared when she would ask them about their childhood as well as problems many young married women discussed in therapy sessions. Most of us have known of someone, or may have even been a victim of some type of abuse. There are methods explained in the book which will be of great help to the person who recognizes the need to make a change in their life but lacks the courage or the knowledge to be able to accomplish it. By following the suggested steps outlined in the book, you will discover that your life is more fulfilled, you are enjoying freedom that you never imagined before, and that whatever occurred which derailed you in the past is of no consequence any longer.

About the Author

Mary Ellen White enjoyed various areas of social work during the early years of her career. Later, she focused on family counseling and mental health issues in both a prison population, and at the time of her death, a coal miners’ clinic. She was a recipient of kidney and pancreas transplants and often traveled to speak of the life she was enjoying without diabetes. Relaxation, for Mary Ellen, meant spending time at the barn or on the trail with her Tennessee Walker, Regal, with her hybrid wolf dog, Sparta running alongside. In Memory The author was enjoying a warm, sunny Saturday morning in December with a friend, trying out horses on a local farm when, unexpectedly, she was thrown to the ground, suffering serious fractures. She died one week later. Her mother submitted her manuscript for publication in loving memory of her life, and to bring her dream of having her book published to reality.
