About the Book

From Army Green to State Prison Blue is an autobiography of Jackie O. Watson. A military soldier who was falsely accused and convicted of a crime that he did not commit and was sentenced to five years in the California State Penitentiary. He fought hard to prove his innocence for approximately three years and the California Supreme Court of Appeals overturned his conviction, and he was re-instated into the military. An Army Command Sergeant Major requested to medically board him because he was on a nondeployable status to deploy to Iraq, he failed one-year and five-months short of his twenty-year retirement and received no retirement pension.


About the Author

I am the author of this book, Jackie O. Watson, I was born September 19, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri¡ªthe seventh child of nine of Frances Watson. I grew up in the ghetto of Kansas City and decided to change my life and joined the military. I served in the United States Army, December 28, 1984¨CJuly 29, 2003, and I currently reside in Lawton, Oklahoma, with my family. I attended F. L. Schlagle and J. C.
