About the Book

My first completed manuscript is a spiritual autobiography of my life from my teenage years to where I am today, spiritually. The road getting here was not an easy one for a young lad born six months before the bombing of Pearl Harbor at the beginning of World War II. Fulton New York, an upstate community of 14,000 people, where I was born and raised, offered very little in the way of opportunities for anyone to make a great success of their life. I was the second child of Polish parents, raised Catholic, in a very poor household. Being both poor and Polish helped to form a very close-knit family bond with one another. When I was in my early teens, my younger brother nearly died from pneumonia. While he was in the hospital, near dead, I tried to make a deal with God to save his life. God came through on his end but left me with a spiritual dilemma of my promise to serve Him the rest of my life. By the time I graduated from high school, I had forgotten about my deal to serve God. All I wanted was to get married and have a family. I married a sweet Catholic girl and had five children before God reminded me of my promise. God did this by having me start to question some of the things happening in the Catholic Church which made me feel I needed to find the truth about what God wanted and not what man dictated. I finally left the Catholic Church and went off to college to get a degree in Pastoral Ministries from Dallas Christian College. My struggles to find the truth about God and religion were never really satisfied with a college education but what I had at the time seemed better than what the Catholic Church was teaching. Traveling around the country preaching and working in the secular world had taken my family and me from one coast to the other, and many places in between. I was 35 when I left New York and started on my quest to find the truth that would set me free. This book goes into great detail about what I believe truth is and where it can be found. It also covers the subject of death and dying which I have come to realize that the truth that has set me free was to come to a full understanding about death and life after death. Such truth that wasn’t preached by me as a fundamentalist preacher and the churches I served. After finding my truth, I felt I could no longer serve in the ministry without feeling like a hypocrite. Many people become very comfortable with what their parents believed and taught them, so they are not always willing to learn new truths. This book takes you up to this point which made me choose to retire and write about my life experience that has gotten me to where I am today.

About the Author

This book is a spiritual autobiography of my life beginning from my teenage years to where I am today, spiritually. While facing the possible death of my younger brother, by pneumonia, I start my spiritual struggle as a Catholic teenager trying to make a deal with God. In my mid 30s I left the Catholic Church to become a conservative fundamental pastor and preacher that lasted for over 25 years and still not found the truth that would set me free. I later learned I had the answers all along but was too blind to see it because my faith held me captive from letting all truth become revealed.
