About the Author

I majored in Journalism at the University of Colorado, but I went to work at an advertising agency in Chicago. After several years in the advertising business, I created two magazines, Canoe Magazine and Great Lakes Living. Several years later, I sold them. The Johnson Wax contacted me and eventually made me an offer to become Executive Vice President of the Old Town Canoe Company in Old Town, Maine. Later, I started my own company, Garden Tools of Maine. After 12 years, I retired an my wife, Shirley, and I moved to Florida. There I started my own stories.
