About the Book

Chronology offers a wonderful framework for observing human emotions. While I was reading each poem, I often found myself thinking about my own emotions and experiences. It was refreshing that I wasn't the only person with those feelings.

About the Author

Lessie Harris Matthews Ms. Lessie Bell Harris was born in Russell County Alabama, the third oldest of eight siblings. She began writing after being placed into a speech and drama class during her eighth grade year of school and has been writing poetry ever since. She has two poems published on Poetry. com, a national online poetry society. Lessie earned her degree in Business Education from Columbus Vocational College in Columbus, GA and also obtained an Associate’s degree of Arts Community and International Economic Development from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, GA. Her first love is graphic design, where she has devoted most of her professional life to business branding and print development services. Some of her work can even be seen throughout this book. The poems offer her perspective on spirituality and inspirational messages as she intends to uplift readers through her wisdom and life experience. There will be solo book coming later. Jebreh A. Harris Jebreh Harris was born in Columbus, GA in 1978. Raised most of his life in Lithonia and Decatur, GA. Through many trials as a child, Jebreh earned a track scholarship to Alabama State University in 1996 (HBCU). Even though Jebreh majored in graphic design and minored in photography, he is a studio artist at heart. His freshman year was the beginning of his writings, due to a girl. He continued to write through the years, with a year or two hiatus from writing. In 1999, Harris transferred to The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, to continue his education and his track career. Majoring in graphic design, Jebreh earned his BFA in the spring of 2002. With his degree finished Jebreh proceeded to run professional track and field. Running his first year out without a sponsor, Jebreh signed with Evander Holyfield’s track club, Holyfield International in 2003. In 2005 Jebreh signed a running contract with Reebok and continues to run for them. Being ranked as high as #2 in the US, traveling to many countries, different states, and encountering all types of people, Jebreh has a lot to share. Through the years he has written many poems, some of love, day-to-day, political, encouragement and ethnic. The poems have matured through the years and so has he. His poems open himself to the readers and he hopes the readers will open themselves up to his poems. With his debut book together with his mother, Jebreh plans to publish his next book as the solo author.
