About the Author
Robert David Tompkins is an Associate Professor of Biology at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina. He earned a B.S. in Biology from Guilford College in 1990, an M.S. in Botany from N.C. State University in 1996, and is currently in a Ph.D. program of study at Clemson University. He resides in Gastonia, NC with his wife Kathy, and his two sons David and Brent. Donald Robert Beagle is Director of Library Services at Belmont Abbey College. He earned a B.A. in English from Oakland University in 1975, and a Masters degree in Library & Information Science from the University of Michigan in 1977. His previous books include The Information Commons Handbook (Neal-Schuman, NY & London; 2006), and Poet of the Lost Cause (University of Tennessee Press, Knoxville; 2008).
