About the Book

The Broken Poet of Dreams & Pride intended to be a standalone book when I first started writing to finish a book in 2005. By the time I got done with the preparations to send my book away it got to a point where I had written so much more and it flowed so beautifully with the (OD&P) that I decided to make it Of Dreams & Pride a Double titled book that is now called the Broken Poet Of Dreams & Pride and the Broken Poet The Lost Prodigy. They are the ying and yang the good and bad parts of me. you will find that there is a dramatic change in my tone as you read further and further into my poems. Each Poem has so many means to me and you should never take anything I write in just one way you need to look outside the box and look in at the meanings and emotions that each brings and try to apply them to a struggle you may be having.

Out of the two books I would have to say that the Lost Prodigy is more intense of a read and will connect to so many different people in their lives to where Of Dreams & Pride is more of the personal struggle that lead me to (TLP).

Before I finish up I almost forgot to tell you about VENGEANCE the short story in My new book it’s about love, hate and the passion of revenge- the never ending circle one puts them self into to get back or teach a lesson and turns out losing themselves in the mix. Pay attention very closely throughout the story for there are many more stories to be told of Scott Jamieson and they are mentioned throughout the story.

I hope what each person can take for the poem side of my book is that Live, Love and be adventurous never let anyone tell you that what you want is a pipe dream because It is only a Pipe Dream if you decide not to peruse your happiness, I know for I have let people tell me that my whole life and in the end you like me will have no one else to blame but your self’s.

About the Author

I grew up in Maryland and was a fond reader of Edger Allen Poe his ability to shape his words around his pains. Later on I found a love of the Great Walt Whitman and his ability portray whit and propose in every detail. I discovered my love for writing in high school thanks to a Mrs. Beverly McCord and started on my first book of poems. Originally intending on “Of Dreams and Pride” to be a stand alone book I added the “Lost Prodigy” to make each person understand were these thoughts and actions come from. My words in this life are not meant to offend, I wish to enlighten those who press personal agendas upon those who are content with there life. Yes cynical I can often be, but do to my moral fiber and the things that I have seen, heard and felt, the convictions through insults and the blind trying to lead the blind I will not silence my ways to please those of a weak fibers and two faced forked tongue hypocrites. Pulse if you are offended, most likely it’s because you have done something similar to what is written and don’t like the response I give to a conformed society which intern also means you offend yourself by your own actions. My biggest hope with this is to break down the barriers of a conformed society that different is bad and one view shall rule us all because nothing and no one can tell you you’re wrong for being happy, loved or free, you make your decisions in life and no one should put barriers up to prevent you from getting to that point no one has the right to play the part of a God.
