Motivations from the Heart

About the Book

Motivations of the Heart is a personal memoire that is meant to encourage others to stand up for their convictions. Motivated by love, I did just that. In the 1970’s I returned to college to finish my Bachelors degree and obtain a teaching credential. I found out how strong our education turned to: God is dead, missing or obsolete. I listened to it and then rebelled. My rebellion cost me my family, my health, my Nation Under God, as I moved to live in Israel and Europe, there I faced many fears, and learned more about others faiths, beliefs, values, cultures. I discovered the Supreme Court decisions to keep God out of our schools and the governmental decisions to put psychiatry into our schools. I describe what led up to going into mental rehab, what happened there, and after and the cowardice of others who will not own up to or see their part but see themselves so entitled to abuse, that they take no responsibility for their actions and let the other take the fall. It’s cruel to allow another to take on a Scarlet Lettered psych-label and have them medicated into submission, when love and truth can heal.

About the Author

Dorothy Caruso lives in California. She has two children and a granddaughter. She received her Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling from Chapman University in Orange, Ca, and works in counseling, education and drama, in schools and through her business; Dorothy’s Oz.
