About the Author

Marvin G. Knittel Ed.D.is professor emeritus of counselor education at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where he served in a variety of positions. He currently lives in Tucson, Arizona where he devotes time to writing and volunteering. During his 36 years with the University, Dr. Knittel taught psychodrama classes to graduate students for 16 years and used psychodrama methods with individual clients in his private practice. His experience with psychodrama a deux motivated him to write this book. Dr. Knittel published Strategies for Directing Psychodrama with the Adolescent, in the Journal of Group Psychotherapy, Psychodrama, & Sociometry (Fall 1990) and has presented numerous papers on psychodrama at state and national conferences. He has recently published four articles in Counseling Today an American Counseling Association Publication (www.counseling.org). He also wrote Lessons of a Lifetime, in inMotion, a publication of the Amputee Coalition of America. He published his autobiography; Life is not Random in 2006 and is currently writing Lessons in which he recounts growing up with one arm.
