Mr. “B” joined team palm springs, to go the Gay Games VI, Cultural Festival, in Sydney, Australia November 2nd thru the 9th of 2002. Upon returning to Palm Springs, Mr. “B” was notified that he had also been nominated Poet of the Year 2002 by the International Society of Poets . . . the society’s convention was held in November 2002 and 250 poets represented their own works . . . Mr. “B” was awarded the silver chalice merit award and the merit metal 2002 for his poetic rendition of the poem . . . “The Day the World Stopped
