About the Book
Cat Tales is a collection of stories that will take you on a journey of your heart
and mind.
You’ll read about Pat who is convinced that a kitten saved her life when she
had all but given up her battle with cancer. Then there’s Christine who discovered
that a cat named Sydney turned out to be her best friend when she needed
friendship the most. Rena´s most unusual request for Dr. Eisen left everyone
reevaluating the importance of feline companionship. When Tiffany needed help
from the other side of the Atlantic, it was her human cousin in the United States
that helped save her life. Then there’s Tivo, the shy cat, who forged a bond
that taught Greg and his family to accept and embrace a common disability that
affects many children and adults today. You’ll spend time with Cindy who knows
that even the most forgotten felines can become the most loveable and cherished
cats of all.
Some stories will make you purr, some will make you mew and all will make
you tenderly remember those unforgettable felines in your own life; those cats
that left indelible paw prints in your heart forever.
About the Author
About the Authors Dr. Sharon Eisen has been a practicing veterinarian since 1984. In 1991 she realized her dream of opening a feline-only practice in Brookfield, Connecticut. The Complete Cat Clinic was the very first cats-only hospital in the state. While owning and operating the clinic, Dr. Eisen has also been breeding cats for the past 15 years. Some of her cats have appeared on television and have been top-ranking show cats with many ribbons to their credit; and others have simply been beautiful and treasured companions. In addition to devoting her career to the care and wellbeing of cats, Dr. Eisen has an abiding interest in the human/animal connection. She has conducted programs in elementary schools to teach students about pet care. She has led pet bereavement groups and she has brought cats and dogs into nursing homes to serve as pet therapists. For many years, Dr. Eisen has wanted to share these wonderful and compelling stories. The time has finally come. Dr. Eisen lives in Danbury, Connecticut with her husband and four cats: Paco, Hershey, Paulie Newman, and Rosie. Linda Francese fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2004 and began working with cats as the head technician at The Complete Cat Veterinary Clinic in Brookfield, Connecticut. A year later, she joined Dr. Eisen as co-owner of the Plaid Plus Cattery, breeding British Shorthair cats. Earlier in her career, Ms. Francese worked in radio for more than 20 years. In addition to becoming well-known as an on-air personality, she did commercial copywriting, voice-overs and radio production at numerous New York area radio stations, including WHUD 100.7 FM. During that time, Ms. Francese was nominated for many awards and in 1998, won the prestigious New York State Broadcasters award for Outstanding Commercial. Ms. Francese lives in Brookfield with her husband, two sons and five cats: TiVo, Rhiannon, A-Rod and Jovi and the latest addition, Wolf Blitzer.
