About the Author

Jim grew up on a horse powered farm in North Dakota. After high school he joined the navy and served in the Pacific. After a try at farming, he moved to Youngstown, Ohio and worked for the Newspaper. He married and had two children. His wife died of leukemia. He married again and had two more children. From 1961 - 1968, he with his wife and children were missionaries to Sierra Leone, West Africa. Back in the U.S., he earned his B.A and M.A. degrees and finished seminary. He became a high school teacher and Pastored churches on week-ends. He is now retired and enjoys volunteer work and enjoys writing short stories about his many memories of his life such as this collection of short stories.
