About the Book

The purpose of this treatise is three fold. First, to sound a warning to the followers of Jesus Christ. Secondly, to encourage those who are still searching for the “Truth” and finally, to prayerfully, help to open the spiritual eyes of those who have been ensnared and deceived by the enemy. Jesus Christ himself warned his disciples of the great danger of being deceived. “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ: and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4,5) and again, in verse eleven Jesus warned of false prophets saying, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

About the Author

Earl Harris was born in Philadelphia and educated in the city school system after which he served two and one half years in the U.S. military> He received a Bachelor of science degree from the Pennsylvania State College with a major in secondary education. He served 27 years as Probation Officer and Supervisor of caseworkers at The Family Court Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia. Earl continued to follow his personal interests until his life was dramatically impacted by a series of four, successive events. First the loss of his father through drowning, followed by his sister’s drowning, followed by the death of his older brother when the B-29 bomber crashed in the Gulf of Mexico. These events were closely followed by the death of Earl’s mother who was crushed by the tragic, consecutive loss of her loved ones. These tragic, consecutive events arrested Earl’s attention and caused him to embark upon a search for some answers, but in all the wrong places. The cult of Theosophy lead to Transcendental Meditation, to the Bagavad Gita to the Upanashads, the Holy Koran and finally the “Jehovah’s Witnesses”. None of which gave any satisfactory answers. The J.W. worked hard to present many Bible verses but there was no expression of Love and Joy. Earl met and married a wonderful wife and was blessed with two wonderful children but something (Someone) was missing. Saint Augustine gave the answer to his problem when he said, “Lord, thou has made us so that our hearts shall find no rest until we rest in Thee.” But God’s timing is always perfect. Immediately, God lead a young Pastor, Benjamin Tolbert to joyfully present the Good news of Jesus Christ. Earl admitted to God that he was a sinner and prayed for God to forgive him. From that time forward his life changed. “therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2Cor 5:17) Then followed a great joy, great thirst for the word of God and a desire to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
