Ethel Williams, a native of Inkster, Michigan, is a graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She went on to receive a Master of Arts degree in Special Education, with a special endorsement in Reading from the University of Detroit in Detroit, Michigan. She later continued her education and received her post-Masters certification in Elementary Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. One of the highlights of her life was joining the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Delta Beta Chapter, while attending Eastern Michigan University. Her commitment to education, along with an unwavering dedication for teaching the special-needs child, has earned her the title of Master Teacher. Together they assure academic achievement and promote positive social and emotional growth. As a result of her dedication, vision, and persistence, many of her children have successfully entered mainstreamed educational settings. After thirty-five successful years of teaching and many encouraging experiences, Ms. Williams retired from the Detroit Public Schools. Her life as an educator hasn’t ended. She now writes books in several different genres: self-help books, fictional novels, children’s books, memoirs, and faith-based motivational books.
