About the Author

Michelle (Shelly) Robinson was born in Jamaica, Queens NY. She is the oldest of four siblings in her biological family and the oldest of one in her adoptive family. She is the single mother of one child as this is being written. She currently works full time and takes classes part time to obtain her bachelor’s degree. She is striving to become a motivating author, speaker and mentor for young adults and children. Robinson also has a desire to help restore what she can in her community. Robinson was featured in the Charlotte Observer December 2009 for giving back to a women’s and children’s shelter where she resided briefly as a child. She hopes to one day start a foundation that assists homeless children. Robinson currently lives in North Carolina with her son Marquis and puppy Chocolate.
