About the Author

Tessa Chang was born in a quaint city called Spanish Town, in the sunshine island of Jamaica. She’s the fourth of eleven children—seven sisters and three brothers. She grew up with countless fond memories in a closeknit family on a large sugar estate. She attended St. Catherine Primary School in Spanish Town and high school at Alpha Academy in the capital of Jamaica, Kingston, where she also completed her tertiary level education in Marketing. She worked in administration for a number of years and moved into sales and marketing in the Life Insurance industry where she qualifi ed herself as a Chartered Life Underwriter. She is at present a Sales Manager and markets a college education savings plan for a Canadian-based organization. She considers herself practical, creative, responsible, strongminded, self-reliant, honest, fair, gregarious, adventurous, impulsive, and witty. She loves travelling, shopping, taking pictures, and eating delicious food. She also gets pleasure from cooking and entertaining. One of her favorite quotes is “to succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funnybone.” She is married to Clarence for twenty-nine years and they are the proud parents of three brilliant achievers, their children Dean, Codi, and Keva.
