I Love My Brother!

About the Book

Emma is nine years old. She really doesn’t like her four-year-old brother, Little Johnny, who has autism. Unlike her friends’ brothers, he does not talk well and follow instructions well, and he throws temper tantrums. Emma is embarrassed by him. One day in their garden, Little Johnny upsets Emma so she runs into the bush, where, she meets a family of blue birds. The birds teach her lessons about love and accepting individual diff erences. But will she love Little Johnny? Can she help Little Johnny improve?

About the Author

Aidi Yin studied in Beijing Medical University and Boston University. She is the author of “Emily and Her Dolls” (children’s book), “I love my brother!” (children’s book), and “The Crystal Ball” (novel). She lives with her husband, daughter (Kerry Grogan), and son in the Caribbean and New York. Kerry Grogan is in grade three. She is the illustrator of two children’s books: “Emily and Her Dolls” and “I Love My Brother!”
