About the Book
The old Yankee Stadium had so much energy it was sad to see it torn down but keeping up tradition was very important. The ghosts are the main part of that tradition and it was necessary to see them get across the street. In this book you will read how they found their way and made their presence felt in their new home. The new stadium became enchanted during its very first season and tradition stayed strong with the franchise.
About the Author
David J. Joyce felt the pulse of the Bronx during the 2009 baseball season and set out to write his first book, “The Ghosts of 161st Street”. There are two more books in the series making it an official trilogy. The next book is titled “Pinstripe Regalia” and covered events at the stadium during the summer of 2010 when the Yankees suffered the passing of their boss, George Steinbrenner. The approach the author takes is always in true sports writing fashion and was reported live from Yankee Stadium for certain events.
