About the Book
The common goal of this story is that everyone will face obstacles in their friendships, and even though we may disagree, we have to see that the ties that bind people together, which I feel is love, peace, and the pursuit of happiness, are stronger than those that tear us apart, like prejudice, gender differences, age, and language barriers are all intertwined with escaping through alcohol, food, smoking and buying things outside of ourselves to fix what may be broken inside.
There came a point in my life, in one of my darkest hours where I realized that I wanted to beat the streets, grow beyond negative influences and develop confidence and drive to achieve positive goals and influence those that followed me, like my children, and family.
One of the most important points of this book is to get the reader to want to better him or herself, by using the materials in the book as a guide line to follow. I want to give the reader hope, that he or she can better themselves, regardless of the obstacles that close friends or family members may face in life.
